As you may have noticed on the homepage, Portland Webworks was recently recognized by Travel Weekly’s Magellan Awards, for its work with the Maine Office of Tourism and ongoing development of visitmaine.com.
This is the company’s second Magellan Award, having picked up a Silver Award for 2008 in the Online Travel Services Marketing - Website category. This year however the company went one better, securing the Gold Award in the Destination Marketing - Website category.
Only four other Gold Awards were handed out this year, going to industry veterans such as Walt Disney World Resorts, American Express Travel and VisitBritain.
Portland Webworks’ president, Justin Davis, recognized this as a terrific achievement for the company, as well as giving credit to the Maine Office of Tourism for its, “leadership and commitment in marketing the State of Maine online.”
