Portland Webworks recently sponsored Kayak Rendezvous Inaugural
paddle 2002. Kayak Rendezvous is a day long sea kayaking event that
takes place on the waters of Casco Bay. The event raises awareness
of the sensitive ecology of the bay's islands while raising funds
for two worthy causes- Maine Audubon and Rippleffect.
Portland Webworks staff donated time to build and maintain the Kayak
Rendezvous website (www.kayakrendezvous.com)
and provided complimentary website hosting services. The real highlight
of the event was the opportunity to get in the water. Justin and
Matt hit the water with the rest of the paddlers and spent an informative
and enjoyable day exploring the waters of Casco Bay.
The April 2002 issue of Portland magazine features a cover story
on Maines 100 best websites. Seven of the one hundred sites
